To be informed of our novelties, our collections and our events before everyone else!
In the north of Transylvania, Emma passionately takes up the gestures and patterns passed down from generation to generation. In her shop, traditional objects and tourist souvenirs intermingle. In her spare time, Emma embroiders traditional cushions and table runners using the Hungarian technique known as Kalotaszeg. A region known for having the richest embroidery in Hungary from Transylvania to the Romanian border. The monochrome embroideries represent ancient patterns (flowers, pine branches, leaves or even pomegranate flowers...)
Each cushion has different patterns and very slightly different sizes. Indeed, each piece is handmade according to Emma's desires to take up certain historical patterns.
Because we're handmade, all our items are unique, even in small production runs. At La Maison de Commerce, you'll never find 2 identical objects, especially the one in the photo and yours. This guarantees its authenticity and beauty, as well as the few irregularities inherent in its manufacture by the best craftsmen in France and Europe. All our items are delivered with a certificate of authenticity issued by La Maison de Commerce.
