History
In Vallauris there is an artisanal and family pottery workshop, where utilitarian pieces meet exceptional pieces.
Gilles Compas shot those presented here in 2023.
In white earthenware, fired a first time at 1020 degrees, they were then glazed with superimposed enamels to obtain the cracked and foam effect resulting from the family tradition, then refired a second time.
The two jugs presented for the exhibition are more than 70cm high for a unique rendering.
