Dubosq & Fils

History

Olivier took over the woodturning workshop founded by his father in 1952 in Provence, in the south of France. At that time, many woodturners were in the region, and each village had its own olive wood specialist. Salad bowls, utensils, boards, and other items adorned colorful tables and were part of everyday life.

Today, these creations are often underappreciated and neglected, as the precision and rarity of woodwork are increasingly unknown. Here, the values and methods of creation remain the same, with a focus on sourcing quality wood as a top priority. Olivier is dedicated to respecting traditions and craftsmanship, bringing unique and useful products to life using rare woods from the Var region or Italy.

Note: To care for your wooden items, do not put them in the dishwasher or soak them in water for too long. Oil them occasionally with seed oil or sunflower oil, and avoid using metal utensils in salad bowls to prevent scratches..
