British baskets

At La Maison de Commerce we always present products for which we have had a crush, and behind which the stories and know-how have marked us.

Today, we present to you the Trugs, English Royal baskets.

Why royal will you tell me? Well can you imagine that Queen Victoria fell in love with these baskets made entirely of chestnut and handmade in Sussex according to an old tradition… And that she decided to ‘dress’ all the gardeners in them of the Court!

This tradition still continues today in England, whether it is in the durability of this know-how taken up by Robin, or their presence in the royal gardens!
