Nerolium
History
Since 1904, this agricultural cooperative in the south of France has devoted its time to processing bitter orange trees (leaves, flowers, fruits). From its name Nerolium, derived from “neroli” which characterizes the essential oil obtained by distillation of orange blossom, the cooperative grew over time and opened a second distillery in Vallauris in 1920.
The harvest of orange blossoms takes place in April, May and November. Nerolium stands out in France as the only cooperative to transformthe products of sour orange trees by extracting essential oil from orange blossom but also the fruits of bitter orange trees to make jams.
