It all started with a photo…

A beautiful family photo, vintage just the way we like them, yellowed by time and the sun as well. The Mediterranean sun, where Cécile’s grandparents lived, and where they posed alongside an object that catches our eye.

A “gargoulette”! A “Pagnol-esque” name with ancient Mediterranean roots. So we set out to trace the history of this ceramic flask, which was highly prized for its ability to keep water cool. After visiting a few workshops and meeting some wonderful people, we found a workshop in Spain that crafts them according to traditional methods.
