Romanian Crafts
History
Timeless objects
A legacy of a way of life still present in certain villages, Romanian rural heritage retains all its vitality, illustrated by the great diversity of artisanal productions: ceramics, basketwork, weaving, egg paintings, metalwork and embroidery.
We have gathered a selection of everyday objects from Romanian folklore and made traditionally: Hungarian embroidery cushions called Kalotaszeg, always monochrome, with old patterns, goose eggs decorated with colored wax, beaded belts or hand-embroidered blouses.
Each object is an invitation to discover the Romanian art of living and to celebrate the heritage of a living and creative craft.
