An ice cream offered to help us cope a little better with the 40 degrees that day, tomatoes from their vegetable garden given for our dinner.
A deep kindness characterizes Constantin and Georgeta who are part of the pure tradition of Horezu tableware thanks to their plates with colors and patterns so typical of this village where they are recognized as references.
Dividing the tasks in their home workshop in the heart of Horezu and whose walls are covered with colorful plates, they perpetuate together a unique know-how with elegance and precision.
HOREZU
Horezu is a village bringing together a community of about fifty craftsmen who themselves make traditional ceramics using methods dating back more than three hundred years. The use of ox horn and a feather to enamel the pieces is an illustration of this.
In 2012, Horezu pottery was recognized as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.
