Romanian High Warp Tapestry
History
An hour's drive from Bucharest, Rozica creates high-quality tapestries using a vertical loom called a high-warp loom. Wools and merinos in infinite colors adorn the wall of the main room. The dyes are vegetable: ochre, brown, purple, ivory, etc. will soon be at the center of the creations made by Rozica and her team made up exclusively of women. The cushions, rugs and hangings use traditional Romanian patterns, including animals, plants, but also colorful geometric patterns that vary according to customer orders and Rozica's desires.
