Pall
History
A mosaic of influences, Romania is a true melting pot which has sought to bring together peoples who have all contributed a component to the country.
Thracian, Latin, Asian, Germanic, French, Slavic, Greek, Hungarian, Jewish and Armenian.
In Corund, the Pall family proudly carries the colours of a Romanian minority called the Széklers (Szekely).
In the centre of this village known for its ceramics, Anna-Maria and her ancestors were able to produce ceramic pieces using Transylvanian motifs from the historical Hungarian influences of this minority.
For four generations they have been working to produce traditional ceramics that are unique in their technique and patterns. Extraction of the earth, sieving, preparation, shaping, shaping, drying, pouring, turning, glazing also called "flowering" ( virágozás) then firing between 900 and 1000°C, everything is done by hand.
