Sophie Spinosi

Fascinated by ceramics, Sophie Spinosi decided to make it her career after spending years working in media consulting.

“Creating something with my own hands that stands the test of time makes more and more sense to me every day,” says this artist, who studied at the École des Arts Décoratifs before training in several studios and developing her own distinctive style—free-form, textured, and colorful pieces.

This elegant Parisian has set up her studio in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, in the attic, where she experiments freely.

Her favorite material? Earthenware and the glazes she combines with it for their textural effects, their luster, and a finish that could easily be mistaken for stingray leather.

Nothing delights him more than digging his hands into the soil without knowing what will come of it.
