THE BESTIARY

A great classic of the decorative Arts, the bestiary is just as present in beautiful everyday objects. A "cabinet of curiosity" spirit that we like and that we find in many of La Maison de Commerce's craftsmen.

BIRDS OF PARADISE

An inexhaustible source of inspiration,
the bird fascinates artists with its grace and colors.
At La Maison de Commerce, the bird is depicted as a rooster for a gargoyle made according to the rules of the art, while other colorful specimens adorn sublime ceramic plates with shimmering glazes.

TWENTY THOUSAND LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA

On another note, the fish is a great favorite.
It too takes the form of a "gargoulette",
when it is not metamorphosed into a handle in the shape of a sardine for very elegant pocket knives.
Ceramic is the material of choice, a formidable playground when it comes to bringing all kinds of aquatic creatures.
Sea urchins, fish, planters, the choice is yours.
