Wicker wastebasket
- 12 item left
In an office, beside a table, or beneath a console, this wicker wastebasket brings a simple and authentic presence into the home. Its even weave, natural hue, and understated silhouette soften the space and invite the patient gesture of the artisan into the heart of everyday life.
It is crafted along the Armorican coast by basketmaker Michel Le Guilcher. A former cobbler, Michel chose to grow his own willow before learning to weave it. Together with Anne-Lise, he cultivates several varieties on their land, harvesting, protecting, cutting, sorting, soaking, and stripping the bark before shaping each piece slowly and entirely by hand.
In a landscape dominated by mass production, Michel continues his work without yielding to haste. Here, time has value. So does beauty.
A basket made to last — and to waste none of the care it has received.
Michel Le Guilcher, Basket Weaver
