Irish Throw
HISTORY
Rooted in a long-standing textile heritage and expertise passed down through generations, this Irish family-run workshop weaves wool and mohair blankets in historic monastic mills. Based in Kilkenny, the company carries on a tradition begun in 1204 by the monks of the abbey, a tradition that has been intertwined for centuries with water, the land, and Irish wool. Thanks to their mastery of every step of the process—from carding local wool to the final weaving—each piece tells the story of a living heritage, crafted with patience, authenticity, and respect for the material.
