Irish plaid
History
Founded on an ancestral textile heritage and expertise passed down through generations, this Irish family workshop has been weaving wool and mohair blankets in former monastic mills. Based in Kilkenny, the company perpetuates a tradition begun in 1204 by the monks of the abbey, a tradition linked for centuries to water, land, and Irish wool. Through mastery of each stage, from carding the local wool to the final weaving, each piece tells a story of living heritage, crafted with patience, authenticity, and respect for the material.
