“Corbusier” chestnut armchair
- 2 item left
In the shade of a linden tree, on a terrace, or in a winter garden, this chestnut armchair immediately calls to mind country houses and long, lingering summers. Light, simple, and welcoming, it accompanies family meals as naturally as moments of rest and quiet retreat.
Crafted according to the traditional savoir-faire of the Limousin feuillardiers, it carries forward an age-old gesture rooted in the working of chestnut wood. Its clean lines, suppleness, and strength have made it a classic of French furniture since the late nineteenth century — one that even Le Corbusier himself admired.
Reintroduced in small batches, its production remains limited, with restocks arriving gradually.
The wood is untreated. Left to the elements, it will develop a patina and soften to a silvery grey over time. To preserve its warm, golden tone, we recommend keeping it sheltered from the rain. Its remarkable lightness makes it easy to move wherever needed.
