These wheat-sheaf platters revisit a 1950s design once commonly found in French homes. Their silhouette calls to mind family tables, shared desserts, and a certain idea of abundance.
They are crafted in Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, a land of faience and stoneware since the eighteenth century. In the workshop founded at the beginning of the twentieth century, Stéphane rediscovered old pieces that had never been glazed. From these original models, he chose to revive production, faithfully respecting the motifs and techniques of the time.
The clay still comes from the region. Gathered, sifted, and left to dry slowly on site, it is then shaped and glazed in the workshop. Each platter thus carries forward a patient savoir-faire, passed down from generation to generation.
Both decorative and functional, these wheat-sheaf platters naturally belong at the center of the table or hung upon a wall — a living remembrance of the art of French faience.
