In the heart of the Périgord Vert, in Nontron, knives and cutlery have been crafted for centuries. It is even said that France’s oldest knife was born here. The stage is set: iron ore, groves of boxwood, and the icy waters of the Bandiat River—everything came together to give rise to exceptional craftsmanship.

These six boxwood forks, arranged in their case, are the result of this long history. Each handle is turned from carefully selected boxwood and then decorated with the famous pyrographed dots—the signature of Coutellerie Nontronnaise. Their simple, elegant shape fits comfortably in the hand, and their golden hue adds warmth to the table, from everyday lunches to more formal dinners.

Crafted in a workshop certified as an “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” (Living Heritage Company), these forks pair naturally with the matching knives to create a tableware set that is both understated and remarkable. A gift set to give to others or treat yourself—for those who love to feel history right down to the tips of their fork tines.
