On this ceramic bowl, the motifs unfold like a light swarm: shapes that evoke birds in flight, sometimes almost bees, rendered in yellow, blue, green, or red. The hand-painted decoration plays with repetition and movement, like a small graphic dance around the rim. Rooted in the tableware tradition of the Cyclades, this bowl belongs to a long history of pottery made on the islands and shipped by boat throughout the archipelago, all the way to Athens. The pieces created by Nikos and his family tell stories of the sea, the sun, and that gently wild softness unique to the island. Their style rests on very little: a simple line, bold colors, and a subtle balance between precision and irregularity. Timeless, not to say eternal.
