Midway between the plant and mineral worlds, this small sculpted vase by Diana Barbosa evokes leaves whose imprint the earth has preserved. Modeled using the traditional coil technique, it is then delicately sculpted and embodies a sensitive nature, where every detail bears the trace of the artisan's gesture.
A ceramist since 2015, Diana Barbosa works with stoneware between Portugal and France. Each vase is entirely handcrafted, then engraved and carved using a slow process that reveals the full richness of the material. The layering of glazes, the work of oxides, and the dialogue between raw and glazed clay highlight the volumes and give a unique depth to each piece.
Conceived as much as a sculptural object as a vase, it can accommodate both a few dry branches and fresh flowers thanks to its glazed interior. This small sculpted vase is a unique piece.
