This series of five sculptures emerges from the dialogue between turned wood and stone, two natural materials whose contrasts Pablo Yubero explores with great simplicity. Turned from ash and then charred using the Japanese yakisugi technique, this sculpture reveals a deep black surface where fire becomes a true tool for drawing. Mounted on a Campaspero stone, it contrasts the charred texture of the wood with the smooth, mineral quality of its base.
