In Madrid, Pablo Yubero works with wood as if it were a living material. Coming from a family with ties to cabinetmaking, he grew up surrounded by wood shavings, tools, and the scent of freshly cut wood. Influenced by Japanese forms and simple balances, he turns, sands, and oils each piece by hand to reveal the material’s natural variations rather than mask them. Here, no sculpture strives for perfection: each piece retains its irregularities, its grain, and its own rhythm.
The candlesticks are available in different types of wood depending on the pieces produced by the workshop (ash, olive, iroko, walnut, etc.). Each model is unique.
The finishes are achieved using oil only, without any chemical processes.
