On this ceramic bowl, the motifs unfold like a light swarm: shapes that evoke birds in flight—sometimes almost bees—in shades of yellow, blue, green, or red. The hand-painted design plays with repetition and movement, like a little graphic dance around the rim. Each piece retains its own sense of freedom, with subtle variations that give it its unique character.
Inspired by Cycladic tableware, this bowl is part of a long history of pottery made on an island and shipped by boat throughout the archipelago, all the way to Athens. The pieces created by Nikos and his family evoke the sea, the sun, and that slightly untamed charm unique to the island. Their style is defined by just a few elements. Simple lines, bold colors, and a subtle balance between precision and irregularity. Timeless—if not eternal.
