Thanks to its central hole, this boxwood spoon—hand-carved in Catalonia—is ideal for making the perfect béchamel sauce, as well as your other dishes.
Its central hole was specially designed by our Catalan artisan to prevent ingredients from sticking to the bottom and to ensure a more even mixture (the food passes through the central hole without sticking together as the spoon pushes it).
Note: Wooden utensils should be washed by hand in warm water with a soft sponge and dish soap if necessary. Then, dry them quickly or let them air dry on a dish towel, as wood does not tolerate moisture! Avoid using them in the microwave or dishwasher.
To preserve their natural beauty, treat them occasionally with a colorless, food-grade vegetable oil, such as grapeseed or canola oil (1 to 2 times a year for daily use).
