Whether placed on a desk, next to a table, or under a console table, this wicker wastebasket adds a simple, authentic touch to your home. Its even weave, natural color, and understated design soften the space and bring the patient craftsmanship of the artisan into the heart of everyday life.
It is crafted on the Armorican coast by basket weaver Michel Le Guilcher. A former shoemaker, Michel chose to grow his own wicker before learning how to weave it. Together with Anne-Lise, he grows several varieties on their land, which he harvests, protects, cuts, sorts, soaks, and strips before spending a great deal of time working it by hand.
In a world dominated by mass production, Michel continues his work without succumbing to haste. Here, time has value. So does beauty.
