Placed alone on a shelf or holding a freshly picked flower, these chamotte earthenware bud vases draw the eye with their singular texture. Their carefully worked and glazed surface evokes delicate shagreen, poised between mineral matte and subtle sheen.
They are shaped in Paris, beneath the rooftops of the 7th arrondissement, by Sophie Spinosi. Trained at the Arts Décoratifs and in several studios thereafter, she develops free, textured forms that remain gently unpredictable. In her work, the material guides the gesture. And the glaze reveals the light.
Each piece is unique. Sizes vary, tones shift from chalky white to deeper hues. All share a living relief that captures the light and gives the ceramic an almost organic presence.
