These ceramic dishes are part of the tradition of Romanian tableware from Horezu. Their ornamental patterns—composed of repetitive designs and natural hues inspired by the surrounding minerals—reflect a living artisanal heritage. Their generous size makes them as decorative as they are functional, designed for large gatherings and shared meals.
They are crafted by Constantin and Georgeta, artisans renowned in their village for the precision of their work and their commitment to local traditions. In their home-workshop, in the heart of Horezu, they divide up the various stages of production and together carry on a tradition of craftsmanship passed down with meticulous care and experience.
Each dish is handcrafted and decorated by hand. The delicacy of the lines, the balance of the patterns, and the uniformity of the designs reflect the artisans’ skill and the care taken with each creation. They naturally take their place at the center of the table, where they are used to present and share dishes.
The patterns and colors vary from piece to piece, with a color palette and compositions that remain true to the traditional Horezu aesthetic.
