Designed for the countryside and its uneven ground, the “Campagne” chair is based on a simple idea: objects used in the countryside must be able to bend and withstand wear and tear over time, rather than break. Its slender sections and construction give it great strength. Far from contemporary minimalism, Antonis Cardew has created a simple, high-quality piece of furniture full of character. The veined ash wood, oiled and left exposed, develops a natural patina over the years.
