Here, the tradition dates back to antiquity. The pots made on this small Cycladic island have long been transported by boat, delivered from village to village, all the way to Athens. In the workshop located in the northern part of the island—which has no specific address; you find it by following directions from neighbors—the men of the family have been potters for over a century. In the summer, production ramps up to meet the demand from vacationers and regular customers; the rest of the year, Nikos takes the time to create pieces for the elegant neighborhoods of Athens and the La Maison de Commerce district in Paris.
The style of this tableware is defined by subtle contrasts. It strikes the perfect balance between perfection and imperfection, featuring simple designs, clean lines, and bright colors. Timeless—if not eternal—each cup tells its own story of the sea, the sun, and the gentle wildness that characterizes the island.
Greek mugs are available in the following designs: octopus, turquoise, red, green, or blue flowers, large blue fish, ictus, blue, yellow, red, or green birds, sea urchins, and surrealist birds.
