Handcrafted in the Sarthe region, this ceramic artichoke adds a touch of cheer to tables and shelves alike. Whether displayed on its own, in pairs, or alongside other ceramic fruits and vegetables, it creates a trompe-l’œil effect and brings a ray of sunshine into your home.
It is crafted in Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, a region renowned for earthenware and stoneware since the 18th century. In this family-run workshop, they still work with local clay, which is gathered, sifted, and then left to dry for two years on site—a process that has become unique in France. Each piece is thus the result of a long, patient process, rooted in ancestral craftsmanship.
A small, understated, and cheerful sculpture that reminds us that even the simplest forms can become true decorative pieces.
