Designed for the countryside and its uneven terrain, the “Campagne” chair is based on a simple idea: objects used in the countryside must be able to bend and withstand wear and tear over time, rather than break. Its slender sections and construction give it great strength. Far from contemporary minimalism, Antonis Cardew has created a simple, high-quality piece with architectural flair and plenty of character. The veined ash wood, oiled and left unfinished, develops a natural patina over the years. This piece, dear to the artist, is made to order.
