On this Lusitano dinner plate, the design truly comes into its own. Motifs painted in blue and green enliven the center and extend toward a denser border with graphic accents. The light-colored background balances the composition and reveals the brushstrokes of the hand-painted design. Crafted in Portugal from stoneware, this 26.5 cm plate adds an expressive touch to the table. It can be paired with more understated pieces or combined with other Lusitano sizes to create a tableware set featuring a variety of designs.

House of Capricorn
Founded by Paula Amorim, House of Capricorn explores the richness of Portuguese craftsmanship—from embroidery in the Minho region to basket weaving in the Azores—to create a collection of items handcrafted in Portugal.
Viana embroidery, rooted in the traditions of the Minho region, also inspires the designs on the plates. Plant fibers, crafted by basket weavers, are transformed into items for the table and the home. From one material to the next, the techniques echo one another, and the patterns recur.
It was this interplay that drew us in: a brand that combines the simplicity of materials with bold colors, and brings Portuguese traditions to life through everyday objects. Pieces chosen as much for their character as for the craftsmanship they showcase.
