On this large ceramic plate, a bird alights among the flowers, transforming this everyday object into a true pictorial scene. The composition, both delicate and expressive, invites the eye to linger, as if before a painting.
Each plate is hand-thrown, hand-painted, and hand-glazed, then signed by artist and artisan Beatriz Garrigo in her studio nestled at the foot of the Albères Mountains. Mimosa, pomegranate, vibrant blue, cement gray, peony red, charcoal black: her vibrant palette weaves a constant link between art and life, which for her is defined by simplicity, joyful serenity, and beauty.
No two are ever quite alike; these bird plates come in two sizes and are equally suited for use as tableware or for hanging on the wall like small paintings. Their generous size makes them a striking piece, capable of anchoring a table setting or creating a unique wall display.
