The Avis glass combines a simple silhouette with a deep green hue, interspersed with brighter shades. This hand-blown glass features a play of transparency and color that is revealed when light passes through it. Its slightly flared shape sits naturally on the table, among light-colored ceramics or linen tablecloths. Made in Portugal, it measures 10 cm high by 8 cm in diameter. A piece that emphasizes the material itself rather than ornamentation.

Founded by Paula Amorim, House of Capricorn explores the richness of Portuguese craftsmanship—from embroidery in the Minho region to basket weaving in the Azores—to create a collection of items handcrafted in Portugal.
Viana embroidery, rooted in the traditions of the Minho region, also inspires the designs on the plates. Plant fibers, crafted by basket weavers, are transformed into items for the table and the home. From one material to the next, the techniques echo one another, and the patterns recur.
It was this interplay that drew us in: a brand that combines the simplicity of materials with bold colors, and brings Portuguese traditions to life through everyday objects. Pieces chosen as much for their character as for the craftsmanship they showcase.
