Marta and Juan

HISTORY

Within these walls, we have been building a better future since 1983.

Marta and Juan envision this future, above all, as sustainable—both socially and environmentally.

They then established their weaving workshop near Barcelona with two goals in mind: to facilitate the professional and social integration of people with intellectual disabilities, and to encourage more responsible consumption through exceptional products.

From the five wooden looms used in the early days—which they built with their own hands—to the 22 looms in the workshop today, the most delicate textiles are hand-woven from natural fibers of the finest quality.

The yak and cashmere wool comes from a cooperative of nomadic herders in Mongolia, and the merino wool from a small organic farm in Provence…

This entirely manual, traditional technique imbues each piece that leaves the workshop with unique details and “imperfections.”

Unique, one-of-a-kind pieces.

A unique quality that Marta and Juan place at the heart of their work, combining tradition with their vision of the world of tomorrow
