Handcrafted in the Sarthe region, this ceramic pattypan squash adds a touch of cheer to tables and shelves alike. Whether displayed on its own, in pairs, or alongside other ceramic fruits and vegetables, it creates a trompe-l’œil effect and brings a ray of autumn sunshine into your home.
It is crafted in Malicorne-sur-Sarthe, a region renowned for earthenware and stoneware since the 18th century. In this family-run workshop, they still work with local clay, which is gathered, sifted, and then left to dry for two years on site—a process that has become unique in France. Each piece is thus the result of a long, patient process, rooted in ancestral craftsmanship.
A small, understated, and cheerful sculpture that reminds us that even the simplest forms can become true decorative pieces.
Handcrafted, each piece is unique, even when produced in small batches. Its subtle variations, lines, and slight irregularities reflect the artisan’s touch and the French and European craftsmanship that La Maison de Commerce celebrates.
The item you receive may therefore differ slightly from the one pictured: that is what makes it so beautiful and unique.
All of our items come with a certificate of authenticity issued by La Maison de Commerce.
