CHÉRIE BASKETWEAVING

Timeless and enduring, wicker is the quintessential classic basket material. Handcrafted by our Breton artisan, it takes on new forms and serves a variety of purposes. In its heart-shaped version, it holds jewelry, bread, or chocolates, while in its natural wicker form, it’s used for
mushroom hunting, collecting eggs, or a trip to the market.
In another version, it transforms into an elegant, understated wastebasket
. Unparalleled craftsmanship—and, of course, made in France.

On the Mediterranean coast, the “paneres de mar” technique combines a
frame made of debarked white wicker, bound together with white or
red cotton thread. A colorful traditional fisherman’s basket.

Flexible and versatile, wood, too, defies expectations to become the basket’s best ally. Designed like a box, our basket—made in Finland—looks just as cool in a home as it does on a fashionista’s arm, while this
basket, crafted from chestnut and willow, has the seal of approval from the British royal family.

CERAMICS PARTY

Unexpected yet incredibly elegant, whether retro or contemporary, the ceramic basket stands out in any style. It is an object that combines beauty, craftsmanship, and the art of the handmade with panache. A true vintage treasure, Malicorne ceramics showcase the beauty of this craftsmanship, which was all the rage in the 1950s. From that decade, we’ve unearthed unique pieces in the workshop of Émile Tessier, who was the most renowned master potter of his time.
