After working as a fashion designer and patternmaker before teaming up with antique dealers at the Saint-Ouen flea market, Coline de Masure found her calling by blending all her passions. The result is lampshades that playfully blend French classicism with a baroque spirit. At first glance, her neo-lanterns are a total hit. Their balanced shapes and varied geometric patterns—which draw inspiration from theatrical prints and the chic of Parisian couture—exude elegance. Crafted from cotton canvas, the lampshades, through a skillful interplay of layered materials, pay homage to both the creations of Christian Lacroix and the Commedia dell’Arte. The trims come to life in Coline’s hands as she works tirelessly on them until she achieves the perfect lamp. Something never seen before.
