TURNER / WOOD SCULPTOR
ISERE – FRANCE
In the Grésivaudan valley, between Chartreuse and Vanoise, Pascal lives surrounded by woods.
Formerly an engineer, his passion for the transformation of matter, partly inherited from a grandfather, led him to turning and wood carving in 2006.
With his hands, he turns, sculpts, sands.
And the noble, robust, rustic material then becomes delicate lace, with absolute finesse and fragility.
An engineer, the man willingly talks about his technique, the tools invented to give life to his sculpted works, the choice of this oak that he shapes green, the only one that can be dug in this way to the extreme and whose richness of growth rings tells the story.
Beyond technical prowess, imagination and poetry prevail through his creations now present in many museums and private collections around the world.
