EARTHENWARE PATTERN
MALICORNE SUR SARTHE – FRANCE
Malicorne is located in the south-west of the Sarthe department, and has had the reputation of being “a land of earthenware and sandstone” since the 18th century.
In 1924, Emile Tessier founded the Faïenceries d’Art de Malicorne and quickly imposed the innovative technique of openwork in his workshops, quickly making his productions famous.
The decorations of the pieces take up the classic and traditional motifs of the great French and European earthenware factories.
The Commerce House has the honor and the good fortune to own some of its legendary pieces, attesting to its mastery of the openwork technique. In very good condition and signed.
