In the Roma community, copper and brass work is passed down from father to son. However, only a few make a living from this art today. Victor Clopotar works alongside his father and in turn makes sure his own son observes and learns the techniques and pleasures of brassware. The town is lined with family houses built with brick and concrete. Each shows off its success by a display ornate porches On the road, a few mobile shops (simple wooden structures), display vases, pots, coffee pots and other traditional and everyday objects. Victor Clopotar exercises his savoir-faire with exigence. He likes to experiment, control the material and create new pieces. Assisted by conversation, a photo album and an iPhone in a kitchen-dining area, mother and daughter serve coffee with smiling eyes. Commerce is the order of the day. There is a singularity in space and time, different and subversive.
