AUX FILS DE L’ARZ
A small winding country road leading to a small bridge, under which, a river runs. The Moulin de Guéveneux has been a textile stronghold of the Lesteven family since they moved to Brittany in 1978. The parents, Bernard and Colette, have passed on the demanding and muscular joys of arm weaving to their son Bruno as well as a respect for the thread and a taste for sustainable fabrics and the historical knowledge of the canvases of Brittany. Knowledge and know-how carried on wooden, old and / or homemade wooden machines. Under his long beard, behind his glasses and despite a sometimes tired right arm, Bruno Lesteven has a young face, bright eyes and a clear mind. A key figure in the network of Breton weavers, he is known for his ability to reconstruct historic fabrics, by hand, from natural materials cultivated and spun in Europe. His favorite subjects are flax and hemp.
Bruno Lesteven works with the large production houses to create and handcraft fabrics of exceptional quality and refinement. He likes to quote Ernest Renan: “A present without a past has no future”. Timeless.Travel : T007 FRA18
