LMDC x LA MANUAL ALPARGATERA x LE LABOUREUR

edition

An institution of Barcelona, La Manual Alpargatera has been making artisanal espadrilles since the 1940’s. Made for workers in the fields, the ‘Manchester’ model of shoe was a favourite of Pablo Picasso and Humphrey Bogart.

Using his moleskine cotton canvas, ‘Le Labourer‘ has dressed generations peasants across France.
A model, a canvas = a timeless piece made for LMDC.

LMDC x ATELIER VENEER x SCIERIE GARRIC

edition

LMDC and Atelier Veneer (= Romain Boulais and Félix Lévêque) went looking for wood in Aveyron.
They met Jérome Garric who told them about the role of a local, family run, sawmill, of the heart of wood, of his grandfather and of the claiming of raw materials by Chinese companies.
They returned to Paris with Poplar and ash wood.
Atelier Veneer both designed and made the furniture for the rue de Luynes, with this wood. Solid.
As a logical follow up, LDMC now promotes and sells Atelier Veneers’ table tops and stands.
